The arachnology collection of the MAGNT contains about 4,000 vials of alcohol preserved specimens, primarily from the Northern Territory fauna.

Limited representative collections of araneae and scorpiones are held as well as small collections of myriapoda, acari, pseudoscorpiones and amblypygi.

Apart from type specimens, the bulk of the collection remains undatabased. Specimens are available for loan to national and international scientists conducting research.
