Territory History
The MAGNT's Territory History program is directed towards documenting the diverse social and cultural history of the Northern Territory since first settlement. It does this through its collections, research and public programs, and engaging with a wide range of community groups and organisations.
Territory History research has related primarily to the development of a wide range of exhibitions, such as the Cyclone Tracy Gallery; material culture research; collection development; and heritage properties under MAGNT's management in both Darwin (Fannie Bay Gaol, Lyons Cottage) and Alice Springs (Connellan Hanger).
