Heritage Agreements
Under section 36 of the Heritage Conservation Act 1991, the Director, on the directions of the Minister, may negotiate and enter into a heritage agreement on behalf of the Territory with a land owner of a heritage place. A heritage agreement is binding on the land-owner and passes with the title but may be varied by further agreement.
