Re-thinking Waste-In-Schools Challenge

This project focuses on recycling and disposal behaviour in schools and is about:

• Promoting awareness of recycling / resource efficiency issues within school communities; and
• Establishing incentives and encouraging appropriate disposal behaviour in our schools.

The project will have strong links with existing familiar programs such as:

• NT Sustainable Schools Program
• Neighbourhood / Community Re-think Challenge

It will also seek to integrate with other initiatives including the Packaging Stewardship Forum/Keep Australia Beautiful Council NT’s ‘Pick of the Litter Project’, Keep Australia Beautiful Council NT’s ‘Territory Tidy Towns’, COOLmob’s Cool Communities Program and other relevant EnvironmeNT Grant projects.
