How Much Greenhouse Gas is Emitted in the NT?

Based on the latest methodology used in the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory, it is estimated that the Northern Territory contributed about 13.5 million tonnes carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) in the year 2005. This was equivalent to 2.4% of Australia's total greenhouse gas emissions.
