In 2004, the government announced the EnvironmeNT Grants. This unique program offers exciting new opportunities for community groups, industry associations, schools and education providers to undertake environmental projects in the Northern Territory.
Over the past four years it has provided $1.9 Million to fund a diverse range of projects across the Territory.
The EnvironmeNT Grants Program targets projects in the Territory that aim to improve the sustainability of current management practices and technologies so that we can protect the lifestyle we enjoy for future generations.
In response to increasing levels of interest from individuals and groups specifically relating to wildlife we have altered the focus of the program to incorporate an additional wildlife specific category for the 2008-2009 program.
Applications for the 2008-09 Environment Grants Program are now closed.
