Description: A sustainability workshop for businesses and the broader
community will be facilitated in Alice Springs, with Dr Stuart White, Director
of the
Institute for Sustainable Futures (Sydney) with a 'Roadmap to a Desert
Smart Town' to be produced as an outcome. This ‘Roadmap’ will assist
the general public through information dispersal and prioritisation of developments
around energy, water, buildings and waste. It will assist businesses to gauge
and shape opportunities which may emerge from a Desert Smart Town, particularly
in the knowledge sector.
