EnvironmeNT Grant Projects Funded in 2004-05
In the first year of this program, funding was provided for a wide range of projects addressing natural resource management issues (such as biodiversity, weed and feral animal management programs). In 2006, the focus of the program changed and now targets projects that will:
- provide opportunities for the NT Community to develop a better awareness and understanding of recent developments in environmental management;
- help the community become wiser at efficiently using our non-renewable resources, re-using waste products and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions;
- promote improvement in current management practices, technologies and procedures; and
- improve the availability of more environmentally sensitive and resource efficient urban design, products and services.
The following categories of projects were funded in 2004-05:
- Awareness category
- Urban category
- Schools category (now a separate Grant Category)
Please note that the following four categories are not relevant to the 2006-07 Program:
