Guidelines for Preparing and Presenting Oral Presentations
- Presentations should go no longer than 20 minutes. Five (5) minutes is allocated for questions at the end of each presentation.
- Electronic presentation should be as a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation for PC. For Macintosh users, please export your final PowerPoint files to PC version.
- Your presentation will be downloaded onto the computer during the break prior to your session. Please provide your presentation to the relevant session convenor.
- Please advise the conference organisers as soon as possible if you wish to use video (MPG or AVI files preferred), slides or OHP.
- Electronic files should be brought to the conference by way of CD or USB stick.
Guidelines for Preparing and Presenting Posters
- Posters will be displayed on a free-standing horizontal board. The dimensions of your poster should be A0 in size or smaller. We recommend using Velcro to mount material on the panel (available at conference if necessary).
- Your poster should include the names(s) and affiliation(s) of all authors of the poster. This will facilitate identification of the authors.
- Posters can be set up on the first morning of the conference (after 8.00 am Monday 24rd September 2007) and remain displayed for the duration of the conference. Posters can be removed from 3.00 pm Tuesday 25th September 2007.
- There will be an official poster session on Tuesday afternoon from 1.40 pm to 2.20 pm. You will be invited to speak to your poster at this time.
Please contact Dale Dixon 08 89994512 or Ian Cowie 08 89994511, if you have any queries regarding these guidelines.
