About Us
The Northern Territory Film Office (NTFO) is the Northern Territory Government’s screen industry agency responsible for supporting and developing the film, television and digital media industries within the Territory.
The NTFO aims to develop and grow the local industry, and increase the amount of screen production taking place in the Northern Territory.
Our Vision
To provide strategic leadership and assistance to the screen industry in the Territory and to encourage excellence and growth in screen activities.
To do this we:
- take a leading role in building and growing the skills of the local screen industry
- identify opportunities to develop the industry in key areas of potential growth
- aim to increase the amount of independent screen production taking place in the Territory
- provide support to industry by way of facilitating exchange of knowledge, contacts and ideas
- provide advice and information to internal and external stakeholders
How can the Northern Territory Film Office assist me?
The NTFO provides grants to support the development, production and marketing of Territory screen projects including drama, documentaries, feature films, TV series and digital media.
Funding through the Screen Grants Program is allocated to strategic industry development initiatives and to successful applications for:
- Project Finance
- Practitioner Development
- Industry and Cultural Development
