Friends of Araluen
The Friends of Araluen exist to support the arts and activities of Araluen Arts Centre and to add value to the arts community of Alice Springs.
Ongoing Activities of the Friends are:
- Supporting large projects and generating funds to assist the Araluen Arts Centre in its programs and activities. Currently the Friends of Araluen are coordinating the funds for the restoration of the Clifford Possum Mural.
- Acting as licensees for the Araluen Bar
- Sponsorship of an Arts Grant to support the activities of local artists
- Fundraising.
Activities in 2008
- Hold a dinner before the Saturday performance of the Australian Ballet in August.
- Consider sponsoring a show for Araluen’s 25th anniversary in 2009
- Consider organising a trip to a performance in Melbourne.
Membership
As with any organisation, we are only as good as the members and we are always keen to have new people and ideas on board.
The cost of membership cost is $30.00 per annum.
Membership forms are available from the Araluen Arts Centre, where membership fees can also be paid.
