Travel Support for art at the heart
Extended closing date 9 July
The Travel Support offers artists, arts workers and volunteers up to $1,500 to attend the 2008 Regional Arts Australia (RAA) national conference art at the heart in Alice Springs. This support can cover travel expenses, travel allowances, accommodation or other associated costs, excluding the registration cost. The conference will be held from 3-5 October 2008.
Funding under this scheme must be matched by 50% of support from other sources. This support may include in-kind. Only direct travel components are eligible for funding support.
Please note that the Travel Support grants fall outside the Quick Response Scheme and the yearly funding limits for the Quick Response Scheme do not apply.

Eligibility
Individuals only. If an organisation or group would like to send more than one individual, applications need to be submitted for each individual relating to their personal benefits and projected outcomes.
Assessment Criteria
All applications will be assessed against the standard Quick Response Scheme criteria for professional development:
- A clear plan and proposed outcomes including the need, the type of development opportunity and who with.
- Potential benefits for the artist's/ arts worker's professional career.
- Calibre and skills of the artists/arts workers involved.
- Accurately costed and viable budget.
Acknowledgement
Recipients of all grants through the NT Arts Grants Program must acknowledge Northern Territory Government support. Download logos for the Northern Territory Government.

Closing Date
The closing date for applications was Friday 30 May 2008. Applications received by Arts NT by 30 May will be assessed and notifications will be given by 30 June to access the earlybird rates prior to 15 July 2008.
The closing date has been extended until Wednesday, 9 July 2008 to accommodate the announcement of the conference program on 25 June. The program will be published at www.artattheheart.com.au. Notifications will be given by 9 August 2008.
