Accessing Arts
The Accessing Arts category supports initiatives that deliberately aim to improve arts access for disadvantaged community members. Disadvantage may be due to cultural, physical, social, economic, geographic or other reasons.

Some examples of eligible activities are skills and development programs, showcasing or education and advocacy where a strong arts outcome is part of the proposed activity.
The Regional Arts Fund is an Australian Government funding initiative.
Objectives
- to overcome disadvantage by increasing access to quality arts and cultural experiences
- to increase community awareness and understanding of disadvantage through artistic expression.
Eligibility
Individuals, Groups or Organisations
The Regional Arts Fund does not support overseas activities.
Assessment Criteria
- Artistic merit.
- Calibre of skills and experience of the artists/arts workers.
- Evidence of sound financial and project management.
- Clear plan and proposed outcomes which demonstrate increased arts access.
- Evidence of employment, income generation or other benefits for Territory artists or arts workers.
- Evidence of community and arts sector support.
- Accurately costed and viable budget.

Acknowledgement
Recipients of a grant through the Regional Arts Fund (RAF) must acknowledge the Australian Government and support by the Northern Territory Government by either:
- using the RAF logo in combination with the "Proudly supported by Northern Territory Government". The logos are available here

- and/ or including the phrase “The Regional Arts Fund is an Australian Government initiative supporting the arts in regional, remote and very remote/isolated Australia. The program is delivered in partnership with the Northern Territory Government”.
The recipient must also invite the Australian Government Minister for the Arts or his/her nominated representative to attend public events associated with a project and, as appropriate, to launch or open the project.

Individuals up to $10,000
Groups up to $15,000
Closing Date
Monday, 22 June (activity must commence on or after 17 August)
