Arts Development
The Arts Development category is to support the research, development or creation of new work, arts projects or community cultural development projects.
Objectives
- Expression of Northern Territory identity through arts and culture;
- Provision of development opportunities for Territory artists or arts workers;
- Increase arts participation and access; and
- Employment of Territory artists.
Eligibility
Individuals, Groups or Organisations
Assessment Criteria
- Artistic merit.
- Calibre of skills and experience of the artists/arts workers.
- Evidence of sound financial and project management.
- Clear plan and proposed outcomes.
- Evidence of employment, income generation or other benefits for Territory artists or arts workers.
- Evidence of community and arts sector support.
- Accurately costed and viable budget.
Some Examples of Eligible Activities
- Research and/or develop a theatrical work
- Create a series of artwork prior to exhibition
- Community cultural development projects
Projects involving Indigenous artists, content or community involvement,
must include evidence of appropriate consultation, agreement or support.
Acknowledgement
Recipients of all grants through the NT Arts Grants Program must acknowledge Northern Territory Government support. Logos for the Northern Territory Government are available here.
Funding Limit
Up to $15,000
Closing Date
15 March (activity must commence after 1 July)
15 October (activity must commence after 1 January)
