Regional Arts Fund Artist to Artist Support

The Artist to Artist Support category is for structured relationships between artists/arts workers for a program of professional development. Both emerging and established artists and arts workers are encouraged to apply. Applications should be submitted by the benefiting artist.

The Regional Arts Fund (RAF) is an Australian Government initiative managed and delivered in the Northern Territory through the Arts Grants Program. [more]

  • Benefit the artist/arts worker's professional career.

Eligibility

Individuals.

Assessment Criteria

  1. A plan of the professional development program including the need, the type of
    development opportunity, who with and proposed outcomes.
  2. Potential benefits for the artist's/arts worker's professional career.
  3. Calibre of the applicant.
  4. Calibre and relevance of the supporting artist or collaborating agency.
  5. Accurately costed and viable budget.

  • Mentorships
  • Residencies/Exchanges
  • Extended programs of professional or skills development

Projects involving Indigenous artists, content or community involvement, must include evidence of appropriate consultation, agreement or support.

Acknowledgement

Recipients of all grants through the NT Arts Grants Program must acknowledge Northern Territory Government support. Recipients of a grant through the Australian Government's Regional Arts Fund must also acknowledge the Australian Government. Up to $10,000

Closing Date

15 March (activity must commence after 1 July)

Please note that according advice from the Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA), activities funded through the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund (RAF) need be finalised by the end of this year. RAF is a lapsing program and a decision for continuation of the program has not been announced at this point.

Activities applied for under the RAF categories in the March 2008 Project Round or activities that have received RAF funding from previous funding rounds must be completed by 31 December 2008 and acquitted within 13 weeks following.
