Chief Minister's Message

Whoever coined the phrase “We do it differently in the Northern Territory” can barely have imagined the enormous success of the Territory’s V8 Supercars weekend - but he would have been right. It is done differently in the Territory, with all roads leading to the Hidden Valley race track.

It is a weekend that sums up our Dry Season lifestyle, and attracts Territorians from the bush as well as the big smoke … and an increasing number of interstate and overseas visitors.

It’s a weekend of passionate challenge, a battle of man and machine, with Hidden Valley a favourite for both spectators and drivers. It delivers significant benefits to the Territory economy and the wonderfully diverse range of businesses that get on board with the V8 Supercars - Territory style.

May I extend a warm welcome to the drivers, their teams, supporters and fans who will join together in this 11th year of heart stopping excitement.
