Tours:
Northern Territory's new Parliament House opened in 1994 and is a magnificent example of tropical
architecture. The Northern Territory Library, the most comprehensive range of historical
and comtemporary documentary material in the world, is also located here.
The library is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm. Saturday and Sundays
from 1pm to 5pm. Closed on Public Holidays.
Free guided tours lasting 90 minutes, depart from the foyer at 9am and 11am every Saturday.

School and Community Group Tours:
We offer four different types of guided tours for Schools and Community
groups. Tours run for a duration of 45 minutes. There are also two all day
programs available:
Guided Tour: Focuses on the history of the building and the role
of Parliament.
Parliament Tour: Focuses
on the process of the role of Parliament and Members.
Chamber Debate: Students sit in the Chamber and debate a topic (either
prepared or impromptu).
Understanding Committees Tour: Focuses on the role of Committees
in Parliament. (Suitable for secondary students).
