Proposed Amendments to the NT Planning Scheme

A Planning Scheme Amendment (PSA) involves either the rezoning of land or changes / additions / deletions to text or diagrams contained in a Planning Scheme.

What am I commenting on and where do my comments go?

Public comment and review is an essential part of the planning scheme amendment process. Those people who have an interest in, or live near a proposed planning scheme amendment can have valuable knowledge that provides a vital contribution to the understanding of a region or locality.

Comments received must be taken into account by the Minister for Planning and Lands in their consideration of the proposal.

The proposed amendment will allow 2 demountable structures to be installed on a lot throughout the Northern Territory within zones RR (Rural Residential), RL (Rural Living), R (Rural), A (Agriculture), H (Horticulture), LI (Light Industry), GI (General Industry) and DV (Development) as a permitted use instead of a discretionary use.
