Draft Community Safety Design Guidelines

The Territory Government encourages Territorians to comment on the draft Community Safety Design Guidelines (2009).

The draft guidelines are an amendment to the current Community Safety Design Guidelines found at Schedule 3 of the NT Planning Scheme.

The guidelines are designed to assist developers to address safety issues associated with their developments. It will help assessment officers and the consent authority to access development applications in relation to safety issues and Crime Prevention Through Environment Design.

These guidelines apply to all development applications in the Northern Territory and are open for public comment until Friday 30 October 2009.
