Teaching aids & quiz
The Committee for Geographical Names in Australasia (CGNA) of which the Northern Territory is an active member has developed a number of information and teaching aids relating to place names in Australia.
The "What's in a Name" video can be downloaded from the CGNA website or a free copy can be obtained by contacting the Place Names Committee.
CGNA has developed an innovative internet based teaching pack for the sharing of information about geographic place names and to promote the significance of geographic place names in the community.
The National Place Names Project, at Maquarie University, a CGNA member, has also produced a number of place names quizzes which can viewed on the CGNA website.
