Territory Growth Planning Unit

The Territory Growth Planning Unit was established in September 2008 in response to the Northern Territory’s rapid economic and population growth and the need for a significant focus on planning for the Territory’s future.

Situated within the Department of Lands and Planning the Unit includes demographers, economists, planners and other relevant professionals who provide specialist advice on planning for future growth and demand across the Territory.

Working Across Government

The Unit’s collaborative approach means it works closely with other government agencies and stakeholders. A coordinated approach is vital to planning for the Northern Territory’s growth into the future.
