Composition of the Board

The Valuation Board of Review Panel consists of 9 members appointed by the Minister.

Members must be valuers, members of the Real Estate Institute of Australia (or hold qualifications that the Minister considers equivalent to such membership) or legal practitioners. At least two of the panel must be legal practitioners. The positions of Chairman and Deputy Chairman are appointed by the Minister from the members.

A Valuation Board of Review consists of 3 members selected from the panel by the Chairman. The presiding member must be a valuer.
