New Zealand

The New Zealand Crime Prevention Unit is responsible for undertaking the following functions:

Coordination between government, local government, iwi, Pacific Island groups and other community organisations for facilitating the crime prevention and community safety partnership and the development of specific crime prevention responses;

Coordination of community input on crime prevention and community safety issues and contribution to policy advice on such issues;
Management of the purchase of crime prevention and community safety programs and initiatives from safer community councils, Tiwi and Pacific people's groups.
