Membership of the Chief Executive Officer Crime Prevention Committee

Leadership of Government Agencies

A Committee of Chief Executive Officers will drive the implementation of crime prevention initiatives across Northern Territory public sector agencies, and ensure effective coordination of resources and programs.

Chaired by the Commissioner of Police and the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Justice, Committee membership also includes the Chief Executive Officers of:

• Department of the Chief Minister
• Department of Health and Community Services
• Department of Employment, Education and Training
• Department of Community Development, Sport and Recreation

The Chair of the Licensing Commission also sits on the Committee.

Government agencies are required to ensure that crime prevention strategies are built into core business, and incorporated in business planning and budgetary processes.
