John William Arthur Birch

John Birch was appointed a magistrate in February 2000.

Prior to his appointment Mr Birch had been a Crown Prosecutor with the office of Director of Public Prosecutions, Northern Territory. He also practised as a Barrister and Solicitor in Queensland and New South Wales. Mr Birch was admitted to practise in 1982. He undertook his legal studies at Sydney University and Macquarie University.
