Regional Offices
Department of Justice operate a number of offices in city centres and regional towns across the Northern Territory.
Licensing Inspectors are situated in Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine and Nhulunbuy and can help you with queries relating to a range of licensing matters including liquor, tobacco, security officers and gaming machines.
If you want to find out about applying for a permit, special licence or licence variation contact your local office. Licensing staff also assist licensees and the general public with information about local alcohol restrictions and alcohol management initiatives.
Inspectors monitor licensed premises, licensed events and public drinking. They conduct investigations into any suspected breach of a licence condition as well as complaints lodged by the public. They play an important role in managing alcohol and other licensing issues in your region.
