Special rules for some information and organisations
There are exceptions and special rules for some information and organisations.
In limited cases, an organisation can apply to have a person declared a vexatious applicant in order to limit their ability to make FOI applications.
An organisation can apply to establish a Code of Practice that may supplement, vary, or act in place of, the Information Privacy Principles.
An organisation can apply to the Information Commissioner to authorise collection, use or disclosure that would otherwise be in breach of the Information Privacy Principles 1, 2 or 10.
The Information Commissioner can issue a Compliance Notice requiring an organisation to take action to ensure that the organisation complies with a Privacy Principle or Code of Practice.
