Feedback
We want to hear from you about your experiences with the Information Act.
We want to hear from you whether you were an applicant, a complainant, an officer of an organisation or a third party.
We want to know about-
- positive or negative experiences you have had with organisations in dealing with FOI and Privacy issues
- positive or negative experiences you have had with our Office in dealing with FOI and Privacy issues
- positive or negative outcomes that have arisen from disclosure of information under the Act
- procedures or parts of the Act that you think could be improved
- procedures or parts of the Act that need to be explained more clearly.
We want to know so that we can-
- improve our procedures
- help organisations to improve their procedures with better training and guidelines
- point out to the Government parts of the Act that may need improvement.
We may publish feedback that we receive on the website or in our Annual Report. However, we will make every effort to do that in a way that does not disclose the identity of the person who made the comment.
In some cases, we may think it is necessary to raise an issue with the organisation concerned or pass information on to another authority for investigation. If doing so would disclose your identity, we will make every effort to consult you before we pass the information on.
The feedback page is not for making a formal complaint about a particular decision. Nor is it intended to be for registering allegations of misconduct or criminal conduct. It is about improving the way the Information Act works.
You can provide feedback by filling out the form below or by e-mail: infocomm@nt.gov.au
You can also provide feedback by: phone or post.
