Community Justice Consultative Council

The Community Justice Consultative Council is appointed by the Attorney-General & Minister for Justice and operates with the purpose of making policy guidelines for the provision of mediation services, providing strategic direction to the CJC, dealing with complaints and making reports and recommendations to the Minister for Justice and Attorney-General in relation to the operation of the CJC. 

The Council comprises a panel of experts in their respective fields with a view to capturing a broad selection of expertise relevant to the provision of alternative dispute resolution services. The Council’s functions include using its collective expertise to assist the CJC with its strategic direction and core business considerations and ensure that it is providing mediation services in a manner which best meets its objects.
