Probation
These types of orders may also be called "bonds", "good behaviour bonds", "probation" or "recognisances to be of good behaviour".
A prison sentence may by fully or partially suspended on an Order Suspending a Sentence. Offenders are assessed by Probation and Parole Officers and may be placed on either of these orders by the court. The court may set conditions of supervision by Community Corrections. Supervision may involve conditions of reporting, residence, education, employment, associates, curfew, counselling, treatment and any other conditions the court thinks fit. These orders are supervised by Probation and Parole Officers only if a condition of supervision is applied by the court.
