Who registers the Marriage?
The Births, Deaths and Marriages office registers all Marriages that have been solemnised in the Northern Territory.
Information needed to register a Marriage
A marriage may be registered by lodging with the Births, Deaths and Marriages office a certificate of marriage as prescribed under the Marriage Act 1961 of the Commonwealth.
Information that is registered includes both marriage parties’ particulars and the date and location of the Marriage.
