October Business Month - WorkShops
The Anti-Discrimination Commission if offering a workshop as part of the October Business Month "Advance your Business Opportunities" events.
There are four Key Topic areas with one of them being 'Recruitment and Retention'. The ADC, in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce, is offering a workshop under this section.
'Catch and Keep with Reward and Respect' is a free two hour workshop to be held on Tuesday 14 October from 5.00-7.00 PM at the Chamber of Commerce premises.
'Increase productivity, staff morale and reduce turnover. Spend less time dealing with complaints and more time on your business. Understand the reasonable steps taken to create a discrimination and harassment free workplace'.

JANE did not like the way that her supervisor Frank
spoke to her. The Boss, Malcolm was a nice guy, but Frank
kept asking her whether she had a boyfriend, what she did
after work and what clothes she wore out. Jane did not know
what to do about Frank. She was beginning to think she should
just quit ...
BOB was angry. He had not given the guy called Robert
a job with his building company because he had no experience,
not because he was 55 years old. Now the guy was saying it
was age discrimination and he was going to sue Bob ...
ARTHUR thought it odd that the car yard had said that
finance would not be a problem when he had phoned up about
the car, but said there might be problems once he went down
there. He had told them what he did and how much he earned.
Of course they could not see he was Aboriginal on the phone
...
The Northern Territory Anti-Discrimination Commission helps

Malcolm and Robert. The NT Anti-Discrimination Commission
is an independent, impartial body that investigates and helps
resolve complaints about discrimination and harassment.
The Northern Territory Anti-Discrimination Commission also
provides training and education about Anti-Discrimination
and Diversity policies to businesses, government departments,
