Palmerston Hospital
Overview
The $110 million Palmerston Hospital will be designed to complement the clinical services currently provided at Royal Darwin Hospital as part of the Top End Health Network.
With links to Darwin, Katherine and Gove Hospitals through the Top End Hospital Network, the Palmerston Hospital will service the Top End of the Northern Territory.
The early works tender has been advertised and includes the upgrade and extension of water and sewer mains services to the Palmerston Hospital site and the provision of temporary fencing.

Benefits
The Palmerston Hospital will take some of the pressure off the Royal Darwin Hospital emergency department and provide services closer to home for people living in the Palmerston and surrounding areas.
The purpose-built facility will cater for:
- up to 60 beds
- incorporate a 24/7 emergency department
- provide a range of services such as day procedures, in-patient beds, some maternity services and outpatient services to suit the requirements of the community.
