Overview

Construction of the new Nemarluk School is underway.

The existing Nemarluk School is being relocated to the new site, adjacent to Alawa Primary School, and will provide facilities to cater for up to 110 special needs students.

Benefits

The new school will include 14 classrooms, a hydro-therapy pool, a multipurpose assembly and gymnasium, after-school care building and administration facilities.

A feature of this development will be the opportunity for community groups to access facilities after hours such as the air conditioned multipurpose building.

Commencement of works

June 2011.

Completion of works

End of February 2012.
