Leanyer Recreation Park Upgrades Commenced

Construction of a Café Bistro at the Leanyer Recreation Park has commenced.
The new development will deliver an indoor and al fresco dining area with seating for 70 people and catering for up to 300 visitors to the park.

Vanderlin Drive - works commence

Work is due to start late October on the duplication of Vanderlin Drive between Patterson Street and Mueller Road, Malak.
The duplication will be similar to the existing dual lanes on Vanderlin Drive.

Fred's Pass Intersection Upgrade - works commence

Road works will commence shortly on the intersection of Arnhem Highway and Fred's Pass Road, Humpty Doo.
Works will include upgrading the turning lanes, line marking, signage and the relocation of street lights.
Motorists are advised to heed all traffic devices and speed limits in place around the road works.

Berrimah Road Railway Overpass - changes to traffic conditions

From Friday 21 October, all Berrimah Road
outbound traffic will be detoured over the new
Railway Overpass.
Direct access to the public weighbridge is still
available.
Inbound traffic will be unaffected at this stage.
Please drive carefully and heed all traffic control devices in place.

Boat ramps now open

Boat ramp closure

Work continues on the Middle Arm and Southport boat ramps.
Southport Boat Ramp will be closed while upgrade works are being carried out Saturday October 15 -17.
Middle Arm Boat Ramp is now open for use.
Boat ramp users are urged to heed all signs in place.

Bagot Road road works
12 October 2011
Essential maintenance to stormwater drains has started on Bagot Road, near Bagot Community.
This will occur at night between 6pm - 6am and during the day bewteen 9am - 3pm daily. Three outbound lanes (including the footpath) on Bagot Road will be affected. Works are expected to be complete by November.
Motorists are advised to heed all safety devices and reduced speed limits.

Stuart Highway (Yarrawonga) road works

Resurfacing works will take place on sections of the Stuart Highway outbound at Yarrawonga from Saturday 1 October. Motorists are advised to heed all traffic devices and speed limits in place around the road works.

Daly River Road - Upgrades to crossings

Works are due to commence shortly on the Daly River Road - upgrade of Five Mile and Tommy's Creek Crossings.

Cullen Bay Pontoon and Services
21 September 2011
Maintenance work is being conducted on the Cullen Bay Sea Wall to be completed by December 2011.
Works have been planned to ensure minimal impact on residents, businesses, commuters and the public during this time.
Access to the marina including the lock and pontoon will not be affected and ferry services will operate as normal.

McMillans Road (Carnoustie Circuit intersection)

Resurfacing works on McMillans Road inbound between Mathews Road and Lee Point Road (incl Carnoustie Circuit intersection) is expected to start on Wednesday 14 and finish on Saturday 17 September.

Temporary river closure
12 September 2011
Piling and bridge construction works have started at the site of the new Daly River Bridge (approximately 800 metres downstream from the existing Daly River Crossing).
A section of the river 50 metres either side of the new bridge will be closed in the interest of public safety.
The closed section of the river will be marked by buoys, and river users are requested to keep clear of the exclusion zone.

McMillans Road/Bagot Road intersection - resurfacing works

Resurfacing works will take place at the intersection of Trower Road/Rapid Creek Road from Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September, 2011.

Middle Arm/Southport boat ramps - temporary closure
7 September 2011
Upgrade works will take place on Middle Arm and Southport Boat Ramps on the following days:
- Monday 12 - Friday 16 September
- Monday 26 - Friday 30 September
- Monday 10 - Friday 14 October
Both boat ramps will be open at the weekends as usual.

Trower Road/Rapid Creek Road

Resurfacing works will take place at the intersection of Trower Road/Rapid Creek Road from Monday 5 to Friday 9 September, 2011.
The majority of works will take place at night to minimise disruption to traffic.
The works will affect both the inbound and outbound lanes and there will be changes to the flow of traffic.

Forum draws big crowd

The fourth annual Darwin Construction Industry Forum at Darwin attracted much interest and positive feedback.
More than 250 people registered for the event, held recently at the Darwin Convention Centre.
Among those in attendance were staff from small and large contracting businesses, government agencies, universities and law and architecture firms.
All of the presentations from the Darwin forum are now available.
In November, the Alice Springs Construction Industry Forum will take place.

Dinah Beach duplication update

The Territory Government has begun construction of the duplication of Tiger Brennan Drive between Woolner and Dinah Beach Roads. Included in this project are improvements to the intersection of Gonzales Road and Tiger Brennan Drive.

Berrimah Road Railway Overpass - Traffic Detour
27 May 2011
From Wednesday 1 June, all Berrimah Road traffic travelling (both inbound and outbound) between Wishart Road and the public weighbridge will be diverted to the new bypass detour.
A 50kmh speed limit will be in place and a new signalised railway crossing (with barriers) will be operating.
Please drive carefully and heed all traffic control devices.
