Adelaide River Road Survey Work

From Wednesday 4 October survey work will be carried out in the Adelaide River area in preparation for the construction of a turning lane in to Adelaide River for outbound traffic.

This work will not have an effect on the Glen Huitson Memorial Park at Adelaide River. The turning lane will be constructed north of the Glen Huitson Memorial Park.

Girraween Road Re-alignment

Ostojic Group Pty Ltd has commenced work on Girraween Road including improvements to the intersection of Stuart Highway/Henning Road, the re-alignment of Girraween Road to improve heavy vehicle access and closing the existing intersection of Stuart Highway and Girraween Road.

Palmerston Boat Ramp Upgrade

Have your say on planned upgrades to the Palmerston Boat Ramp. The upgraded boat ramp facilities will include a new fishing jetty, dual lane boat ramp with a central floating pontoon, improved security (lighting and secure car parking), additional parking space and a disabled ramp for land access to boats.

Note that the location shown on the concept plan of the new fishing jetty and the disabled ramp is currently being reviewed.

Work to reduce traffic congestion on McMillans Road in the vicinity of the Peter McAulay Centre will commence on 24 June. For more information view the following links.

McMinn Street Duplication and Landscaping

Work to duplicate McMinn Street from Foelsche Street and Frances Bay Drive will commence in September 2009. The project also includes associated landscaping, the provision of new street lighting, pedestrian path and safety balustrade. Work is expected to take eight months. Tiger Brennan Drive Overtaking Lanes

The construction of the Rosebery Primary and Middle Schools is being managed by DPI's Construction Division, with Halikos being appointed as the contractor.
