Work Experience
DoI support the concept of work experience for secondary and tertiary students. The department will endeavour to support and place students in appropriate areas, relevant to their studies and career aspirations. Work experience is usually arranged through your school as part of a TAFE or university course however students can also arrange work experience directly with DoI.Why should DoI support work experience?
- Students can get valuable experience that you will be able to add to your resume for future employment opportunities
- Students can get employer references for your resume which will be valuable for future employment opportunities
- Students can make contacts within the industry that could help you with future development opportunities
