House Energy Rating Industry Reference Group Discussion Paper May 2008

A discussion paper has been prepared which includes preliminary recommendations that members of the HER IRG wish to discuss with their industry groups.

A technical report has also been produced that provides rating results for a one room test cell with respect to four main factors which affect how much energy a house will need to maintain comfort in Darwin and Alice Springs.

Northern Territory Government 2005-2006 Building Energy and Greenhouse Report

The Northern Territory Government 2005-2006 Building Energy and Greenhouse Report is the first report released under the Northern Territory Government Energy Smart Buildings Policy.

The report details energy usage for fifteen agencies in the 2005-06 financial year as compared to baseline figures established in 2004-05, and summarises how agencies are incorporating energy management into their operations.

The report also contains details of agencies’ progress with respect to the Northern Territory Strategy for Greenhouse Action 2006 government building greenhouse gas reduction target (Action 1.1).
