OYA promotes the positive achievements of young Territorians through the support of four awards:

Youth Out Bush

The Youth Out Bush pages are a place for young people in remote communities to upload and browse songs, stories, videos and photos, and much more! Click here to check it out.

E-Cruz

This is the Government’s Nightcliff Youth Activity Program for young people aged 10 – 15. There are heaps of different activities for young people to take part in. E-Cruz is run by the Australian Red Cross (NT Division). Email ecruz@nt.redcross.org.au for more info on this program and how you can get involved.

Australian Football League (AFL) Kick Start

The AFL Kick Start program’s mission is to enhance the lifestyles of indigenous Territorians and increase participation through the AFL game.

Junior Ranger Program

The Parks and Wildlife’s Junior Ranger Program is a free environmental based program for children aged between 9 and 14 years. Community Education Rangers deliver the Program with the assistance of Park Rangers in remote regions. The Junior Ranger Program aims to provide young people with the opportunity to discover their natural and cultural environment, develop scientific skills and contribute to the conservation of their environment through hands on activities conducted primarily within national parks and reserves. Junior Police Rangers

The Junior Police Rangers (JPR) program has been in existence since 1984 and is run by the Northern Territory Police Force. The JPR program provides leadership and development opportunities for 75 young people over a three-year period. Click here to find out more.

Blue Light Discos

Blue Light activities aim to provide entertainment for young people in an environment free of alcohol, drugs and violence. Click here to find out more.

Police and Citizens Youth Club (PCYC)

The Police and Citizen’s Youth Club is a non-profit organisation. The PCYC caters for all members of the family. During the week from 3.00 - 10.00pm and weekends from 8.00am - 10.00pm you can access: 2 x Tennis courts, a 25 metre swimming pool, undercover basketball court, sporting oval, BBQ area (bookings required) and an undercover recreation area adjacent to the swimming pool. 18+ card

Are you over 18 and need proof of your age? The 18+ card is a proof of age card available to anyone 18 years and over. The 18+ card is valid for three years and is available from your local Motor Vehicle Registry (or police stations in remote areas). Click here for find out more.
