Buildings and
grounds of childcare centres and educational facilities are smokefree from 1 January
2003.
This applies to early childhood, primary and secondary educational
facilities.
Domestic homes are nonsmoking when they are being used
to provide commercial childcare.

Childcare
centres and schools may nominate an outdoor area, concealed from view of children
in which staff can smoke.
Smoking is permitted in domestic homes used
for commercial childcare at times when it is not being used for that purpose.
Smoking is also permitted outside
