ATSIHPs are essential health care professionals who have a unique role in providing primary health care, often in challenging circumstances and locations, while bridging the gap between Western medicine and traditional ways.
The Department of Health is the main sponsor along with United Voice who funds the New Practitioner Awards, as well as the Rotary Club of Darwin Sunrise and Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance NT who provide in kind support.
