Stokes Hill Wharf (East and West)
A concrete decked, steel piled multi-user berth
currently used by cruise liners, naval vessels,
oil rig tender vessels, charter vessels and the
north Australian fishing and pearling fleet. No
vessels in excess of 180m LOA are accepted at
the berth.
The total berth length is 292m with a 300m
trestle approach. Depth alongside is 9.0m
below chart datum. The wharf deck height is
10.6m above chart datum. Deck loading capacity
is 2.8t/m2 (west) and 3.1t/m2 (east) with local
restrictions.
Stokes Hill Wharf (Inner)

With vessel length restricted to 70m, this wharf
is used by smaller vessels such as oceanographic
research vessels, prawn trawlers, pleasure craft
and tugs. Total berth length is 280m with a shallowest
depth at low water of 4.5m. The wharf is 9.2m
above chart datum and has a deck loading capacity
of 4.2t/m2 (west) and 2.2t/m2
(east) with local restrictions. Shore power, water
and fuel outlets are provided at all Stokes Hill
Wharf facilities.
