Darwin Fishing Harbour and Mooring Basin

A fishing vessel basin, constructed in Frances Bay, provides secure sheltered moorings for the Northern fishing fleet adjacent to supply and repair facilities. The basin is tide free and is controlled by a lock 34.96m x 15m operable during a 3.5 to 7.5m tidal range. The basin is dredged to 5m below chart datum and offers 85 berths - either 20m, 25m, or 30m. Amenities including showers, toilets, public telephones and floodlighting are available in the area.

Fisherman’s Wharf

Berthing facilities at the adjacent tidal Fisherman’s
Wharf consist of a piled wharf 200m in length
with a capacity of 1.0t/m2. The wharf is dredged
to 4m below chart datum and is capable of
accommodating up to eighteen 30m vessels,
berthed 3 abreast. It is provided with 3 phase
415 volt ac x 65 amp shore power, fresh water
and telephone services. Public toilets, showers
and fuel are also available.
