East Arm Wharf - Stage 1

East Arm Wharf – Stage 1 – comprises 490m of land-backed berth incorporating 10 hectares of sealed hardstand, an undercover cargo handling facility and a further 8 hectares of bunded area for future reclamation.

Some 300m of the south east end of the berth is dredged to 13m below chart datum, with the remaining 190m dredged to 14m below chart datum.The new multi-user berth has a design vessel capacity of 110,000t displacement and currently services vessels handling general cargoes, live cattle exports, dry bulk imports, containerised/breakbulk and specialised heavy lift cargoes, plus offshore rig tender service vessels.

East Arm – Stage 1 – also provides over 60,000m2 of open storage and cargo handling space and a cargo transit shed of 4,000m2 incorporating 20 reefer outlets. The total land area (much of it reclaimed) extends to 170,000m2.
