| BERTHAGE FEES SCHEDULE 2
Berthage fees are payable in respect of the period
which commences when a vessel or lighter is secured
at berth and finishes when the last line from
the vessel or lighter is cast off at a berth and,
for the purposes of this Schedule, a vessel or
lighter occupies the berth during that period.
The scale of charges for berthage fees are:
a)For a vessel or lighter (other than a fishing
vessel or passenger/tourist ferry) – 2.81 cents
per GRT/UMST for each 6 hours or part thereof. A minimum charge of 24 hours @ 11.24 cents per GRT.
Note: For all items previously computed on GRT,
where a Universal Measurement System (UMST) figure
has been declared/calculated it will be used instead.
b) For a passenger ferry or tourist ferry –
18.18 cents per metre length overall for each
6 hours or part thereof; during which the vessel
or lighter occupies a berth, with a minimum
charge as for 24 hours occupation of a berth.
c) For a fishing vessel – 19.7 cents per metre
length overall for each 6 hours or part thereof,
with a minimum charge as for 24 hours of occupation
of berth.
d) If Port Corporation mooring buoys are available,
rates are 50% less than normal berthage rates
applicable on main berths.
e) Where a vessel or lighter (other than a
fishing vessel or passenger or tourist ferry)
is berthed within the Port for the purposes
of loading fuel, water or supplies for its own
use or for purposes other than commercial purposes,
the Port Corporation may grant a rebate of 75%
of the berthage fees which are payable under
this Schedule, in respect of the first 24 hours
of the period of which the vessel or lighter
is berthed within the Port.
*Note: A limited exemption
of 8 hours for fishing vessels while unloading
catch (this applies only to those with pre-paid
