Vessels of 100,000t displacement are acceptable at
East Arm Wharf, depth alongside 13m for 300m and 14m
for 190m at chart datum.

Vessels up to 246m LOA and 12.83m draft have been accepted.

Drafts over 11m may be accepted by prior consultation,
depending on tidal predictions.

Least depth at No 3 Berth is 9m.

Middle Pass, the channel through Charles Point Patches,
at the entrance to Darwin Harbour has a least depth
of 12.8m. Vessels drawing more than 11m may need to
wait for appropriate tidal conditions before entering
the Port.

The largest passenger vessel, to date, to call at the
port of Darwin is the Legend of the Seas
and the largest cargo vessel was the 81,000 DWT tanker
Saiko Maru with a draft of 12.8m.

Petroleum tankers are not berthed during the hours
of darkness.
