CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL & WHARF PRECINCT

General Info

Recreational Fishing

A few years ago, an artificial reef was created and a fishing platform constructed on the eastern end of Stokes Hill Wharf for the use of recreational fishermen. An exclusion zone applies to boats around this artificial reef to provide fishermen on the wharf with more opportunity for catching fish. Some of the more common species to be found off the wharf are jewfish, trevally, moon-fish, flat-head, catfish, as well as the occasional eel! Fishermen can drop a line all along Stokes Hill Wharf, except past the eatery areas, which we maintain as a dining zone only.

Disabled Access

Disabled parking is available on the lower deck of Stokes Hill Wharf adjacent to the Function Centre. Disabled toilets are located near the Starboard Arcade and there are also easy wheelchair facilities on the wharf.

Tourist Information

Tourist information is available in the function centre as well as the Port Arcade at the Tourism Top End information stand. Please see our friendly staff in the Function Centre if you have any questions whilst you are at the Wharf Precinct.

Entertainment

Live outdoor entertainment is scheduled every Sunday evening from 6-9pm every week of the year (weather permitting). During the dry season (May-September), we also book entertainment on Wednesday evenings for our patrons’ enjoyment.
