Arts Sponsorship Program

Sport and Recreation Funding Programs

The Northern Territory Government offers financial assistance to sport, recreation and local government organisations to assist the delivery of services and programs to the community. This is provided through a grants program, which is administered on an annual basis. For more information click here.

Multicultural Affairs Sponsorship Program

The Multicultural Affairs Sponsorship Program (MASP) aims to assist migrant and ethnic communities by providing funds towards innovative projects that promote the cultural and linguistic diversity in the Northern Territory. Multicultural community organisations are invited to apply for sponsorship under the MASP. Each application will be considered on its merits, however, there are strict eligibility guidelines and certain requirements and conditions that must be met, before an application can be approved. For more information click here.

Community Benefit Fund

The Community Benefit Fund was established to provide funding support for research and amelioration programs concerned with problem gambling, as well as assistance for general community development and improvement purposes. The Fund receives money from levies imposed on the operation of electronic gaming machines operated by licensed hotels throughout the Northern Territory.

Grants, generally for amounts up to $5,000, are available from the Fund to approved non-profit Territory-based organisations to help them in the provisions of services that benefit the community. Funds are distributed on a biannual basis and may be applied to approved activities which do not fit within other government funding programs, but have the potential to improve the well being and lifestyle of Territorians.
