Improve young people’s health and well-being

Health is more than just preventing and treating disease. Health is also about your physical, social and emotional well-being and there are a lot of things that can affect it!

Moving into adulthood involves a new independence and the freedom to experiment. Many young people engage in risk-taking behaviours and some of these, such as alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs, or unsafe sexual activity, can have a detrimental impact on your health.

This can also be a challenging time when you can face a range of pressures from both adults and peers. For some young people this can lead to poor mental health.

You can find some information and resources here to help you deal with these pressures and challenges.
