The aim of the Multicultural Affairs Sponsorship Program is to assist migrant and ethnic communities by providing funds towards innovative projects that promote cultural and linguistic diversity in the Northern Territory.
Two rounds will be advertised each year. This year the closing dates are:
Round 1: Applications open 7 March and close 4 April 2008. Applicants will be notified of decisions on 30 May 2008. Activities start from 1 July 2008.
Round 2: Opens late July, the closing date for applications is 26 September 2008. Applicants will be notified of decisions in December 2008. Activities start from 1 January 2009.
All approved funds are provided to or through an incorporated association.
Applications must be postmarked or received at the Office of Multicultural Affairs by close of business on the closing date. Emailed and faxed applications are also acceptable, as long as all required information is provided. All areas of the application must be completed. Late applications will not be accepted.
Outside the two rounds the Office of Multicultural Affairs will accept Quick Response applications, however the maximum available for these projects is $2,000.
